Hanni El Khatib- Family

From Dead Wrong to You Rascal You to Roachcock, Hanni El Khatib always fills any shit kickin' blues rock void I might have between my ears. He does it again with Family, a rollicking, piano-swaddled jam off his forthcoming sophomore LP Head in the Dirt (Innovative Leisure, April 30th). This two and a half minute steamroller will be featured on the LP that was entirely produced by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach in his Nashville studio.

Khatib went into the studio wanting to “erase everything he’d become comfortable with and to make an album out of only raw instinct and inspiration.” Family mirrors that desire for freedom and highlights Khatib's vintage rebelliousness and sprawling spirit that has taken him from popping ollies at skate parks to lacing major Super Bowl commercials.
